The MIAA develops and promotes many programs and incentives to help better marinas nationally and reduce the impace of marinas on the ennvironment. Information about our programs follows.

* The Australian Marinas Value Study - The Value Study quantifies the economic and employment value of Australian marinas based on the data provided by marina operators. Learn more about the Australian Marinas Value Study here.

* Gold Anchor Rating Scheme - The Gold Anchors Rating Scheme rates marinas according to an independent assessment of its infrastructure, planning and service. Learn more about the Gold Anchor Rating Scheme here.

* Low Carbon Marina Initiative - Climate change is emerging as an issue of great significance to the marina industry. Increased coastal rainfall activity, rising sea levels, and increased cyclone and storm intensity are potentially damaging to our marine environment. * Clean Marinas Program - The Clean Marinas Australia Program is a national, voluntary accreditation system for marinas, yacht clubs, boat clubs, slips, boatyards and associated industry operators across Australia. The program has been developed to support Australia's marine industries in its endeavours to protect our coastal and inland waterways.

The Marina Industries Association of Australia (MIAA) is the peak industry body in Australia for the Owners, Managers and Operators of Marinas, Slipways, Boatyards, Berthing, Mooring and other marine Storage Facilities and Sailing and Cruising Boating Clubs.

Members of the MIAA are located in each state of Australia and they find benefit from the range of services offered through the network and from MIAA's national office located in Sydney.

The MIAA is a different organisation from any other because it is entirely about marina matters; it concentrates, absolutely, on issues to do with day-to-day marina business and planning for the future.
